Nanotechnology in sports goods
Do you like this story?
Nanotechnology has found wide application in sports goods. For example tennis balls with inner core coated with nanocomposite coating inhibits permeation of air from inside and retains shape, while baseball sluggers use carbon nanotubes to give faster response which are stronger than normal carbon fiber ones. Golf stick and ball Uses fullerenes which are more resistant to bending, better hardness, more resilient head and increased flight distance compared to conventional titanium. Racing bicycles frame are now made using Carbon Nanotube which weighs only one Kilogram and is 20 times stronger than steel frames.
