Nanotechnology for water filtration

Increased pollution of groundwater and surface water from a wide variety of industrial, municipal and agricultural sources has seriously tainted water quality and so there is unprecedented challenge in meeting the rising demand for potable water. Also the available supplies of fresh water are decreasing due to extended droughts and deteriorating water quality. Stellenbosch University Water Institute researchers have addressed water filtration through nanotechnology. see the video below.
