Since their discovery, and Sumio Iijima’s watershed paper in 1991, there has been unprecedented academic and industrial interest in carbon nanotubes and their potential use in a wide range of commercial applications. There is no denying that the basic properties of both single and multi-wall carbon nanotubes are truly remarkable.
