Bionanotechnology gives novel biocompatible materials, molecular delivery systems and innovated cosmetic products. Using bionanotechnology an emerging market is possible in the generation of new carrier molecules and materials (nanoparticles) for generating advanced delivery of cosmetic raw materials. Cosmetic products that are possible are: nanocarriers for peptide topical delivery such as peptide conjugation to gold nanoparticles for anti-wrinkle treatment; and hyaluronic acid such as blockbuster cosmetic materials for anti-aging for moisturizing and for filling dermis between collagen and elastin fiber. Gold nanoparticles having characteristic gold-polymeric structure which has water absorbance and retention characteristics and having strong covalent-like bond with enhanced structural stability is possible. Gold nanoparticles conjugated to cosmetic raw materials such as golden lipoic acid for anti-aging product are also developed using bionanotechnology.
